Tracked airmail from ¥1,920. A 500g device reaches the US for ¥2,840.

Shipping is calculated at checkout by weight and destination, and you see the exact amount before you pay. Everything we send is tracked. Most of what we sell — shavers, facial and scalp devices, styling irons, compact dryers — weighs well under 1 kg.

Delivery times are counted from dispatch, not from when you order. Customs clearance can add a few days and is outside our control.

Food and confectionery

Food ships by EMS only, and is quoted separately from everything else.

These items carry Best Before dates, so we use the fastest service available rather than the cheapest. EMS normally arrives in 5 to 7 days, against 10 to 14 for airmail. It costs more, and we think that is the right trade for something you are going to eat.

If your order contains both food and an appliance, the two travel as separate parcels and you will see two shipping charges at checkout. Japan Post does not allow them to be combined.

How we ship

Everything is sent from Japan by Japan Post, and every service we offer carries tracking. We pack your order in Tokyo and hand it over within 1–2 business days, then email you the tracking number straight away.

Import duties and taxes

Our prices and shipping charges do not include customs duty, import tax, or carrier handling fees. These are set by your own country and are payable by you.

Thresholds and rates differ from country to country, so please check your local rules before ordering if you are unsure. We cannot calculate or refund these charges, and we cannot mark parcels as gifts or declare a lower value.

Voltage

Japanese domestic appliances run on 100 V. Some of our products are dual-voltage and some are not — this is stated on the individual product page. If a product is 100 V only, you will need a step-down transformer to use it outside 100–120 V regions. Please check before you order, as damage caused by using the wrong voltage is not covered by warranty.

Warranty

Japanese appliances carry a one-year manufacturer warranty, but claims can only be filed inside Japan. If something goes wrong in the first year, we file the claim on your behalf — see our FAQ for how it works.

Returns

We accept returns within 14 days of delivery on unopened items in their original packaging. Return postage is at the customer's expense, except where the item arrived damaged or we sent the wrong thing. Opened personal-care items cannot be returned for hygiene reasons.
